Four first-team players will leave Heart of Midlothian Football Club in the coming days.
Aaron Hughes and Conor Sammon will leave the club upon the expiration of their contracts.
Hughes – Britain’s most capped defender and Northern Ireland’s most capped outfield player - arrived at Hearts in January 2017 on a short-term deal but went on to pen two further contract extensions. He made 42 appearances in a maroon shirt.
Sammon joined the Jambos back in June 2016. In total he made 27 appearances and scored two goals before spending time on loan at Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle and Motherwell.
Demi Mitchell and Conor Shaughnessy will both return to their parent clubs – Manchester United and Leeds United respectively - at the end of their loan spells.
Demi had 20 appearances under his belt this year before his season was cut short by injury. Over two loan spells he featured a total of 34 times, scoring twice.
Conor linked up with Hearts in this year’s January transfer window. The Republic of Ireland U21 cap made 11 appearances for the Jambos.
The club would like to thank everyone for their efforts at Hearts and wishes them well in the future.
