Hearts have completed the loan signing of Shay Logan from Aberdeen.
The 33-year-old makes the move to Tynecastle Park until the end of the season - subject to the completion of registration - as the Jambos head into the final stages of the Championship campaign.
Right-back Shay has been a mainstay at Pittodrie since joining in 2014. A product of Manchester City’s youth academy, he helped the Dons lift the 2013/14 League Cup and has gone on to make 276 appearances in red, scoring 14 goals.
He’ll now pull on the maroon jersey for the remainder of the season and could feature in this weekend’s Championship encounter with Dunfermline Athletic.
Speaking to heartsfc.co.uk, Shay said: “It was something that was brought to me quite quickly and I was more than happy to come. I can get game time and give Hearts a solid right back.
“For me, I just want to get back playing again. It’s been a frustrating year and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I want to help the club get the league wrapped up and show people what I can do. When I play for a football team, be it Aberdeen, Manchester City, Brentford or Hearts, fans will know that I always give 110%.
“I’m fit and raring to go. It’s been a frustrating season so this is a great opportunity for myself and I’m raring to go.”
