Hearts to host Sunderland in friendly

Hearts will ramp up preparations for their return to the cinch Premiership by hosting Sunderland on Saturday.

Former Jambo Lee Johnson brings his squad north to face Robbie Neilson’s side in a pre-season friendly match at Tynecastle Park, with a 3pm kick off.

The club can confirm that up to 2,000 home season ticket holders can be accommodated for this match. Ticket details will be announced tomorrow.

The Eighteen74 Bar and Gorgie Suite will be open pre-match to those who have match tickets.

Hearts TV will live stream Saturday’s match free to season ticket holders who cannot attend the game in person. Pay per view will also be available for the game at a price of £10 per person.

Speaking to the Ofiicial Hearts Website about the friendly, manager Robbie Neilson said: "This will be another good test for us ahead of our league opener against Celtic in a few weeks' time.

"Sunderland are big club down in England with some talented players so it'll be a great run out for our squad.

"It's also another chance for our players to familairise themselves with the Tynecastle crowd as some of them have yet to experience it, so I hope we can get as many Hearts fans through the turnstiles as possible."
