Hearts have secured the signing of high-rated Irish midfielder Aaron McEneff subject to international clearance.
The 25-year-old joins the Jambos from Shamrock Rovers and has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal.
An energetic, attacking central midfielder, Aaron was recently called up to the full Republic of Ireland squad after impressive back-to-back campaigns that saw him net 18 goals in 59 games for Shamrock Rovers.
He arrives at Tynecastle having helped Rovers to the 2020 League of Ireland Premier Division title and will pull on the No.18 jersey for the men in maroon.
Sporting Director Joe Savage revealed that Aaron is a player he’s been tracking for quite some time.
“Aaron is someone that I’ve been looking at for the best part of four years and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring him to Hearts.
“He’s been one of Ireland’s standout players for a couple of years now, evidenced by his recent international call up.
“I’m sure the fans are going to be excited by him; he’s really energetic, a box-to-box midfielder who can chip in with goals as well."
