Gervane Kastaneer hopes to follow in the footsteps of his famous countrymen and be a success story at Hearts.
The 25-year-old winger today signed on loan from Coventry City until the end of the season.
Dutch-born, and capped at international level for Curacao, Gervane is well aware of the Netherlands-Hearts connections of the past and he can’t wait to get started in maroon.
Speaking to Hearts TV, he said: “It feels nice to be here. I’m very happy to be here and ready to start.
“It’s a very, very big club with a very nice history. Of course, a lot of Dutch players have played here.
“Mark de Vries, (Genero) Zeefuik. It’s a good history for Dutch people here and I want to continue that here. Hopefully I will do that.
“For me, it’s a big club and no one will say no to Hearts, I think.”
