Living Wage Week 2025
13 November 2025It's Living Wage Week and the club is proudly celebrating being an accredited Living Wage Employer.
Earlier this year, The Living Wage Foundation announced that the real Living Wage would increase to £13.45. Independently calculated, this rate is based on the cost of living.
Thousands of you meet the incredible staff at Tynecastle Park throughout the season, however, their hard work goes far beyond the matchday. Over 200 employees across ten departments, ranging from Hospitality and Customer Service Assistants to Academy Scouts and Coaches, will benefit from the Living Wage increase.
The club's Chief Executive, Andrew McKinlay, commented:
"We’re proud to celebrate Living Wage Week and our ongoing commitment to fair pay.
Since becoming an accredited Living Wage employer in 2014, we’ve continued to implement the annual increase, ensuring every member of our teams receive a wage that reflects the real cost of living.
This week is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness for the need for a real Living Wage, celebrate our staff, and recognise their dedication and amazing work.
As the first, and still the only, Scottish football team to be an accredited Living Wage employer, we hope to encourage others in our industry to make the commitment. "
