Jamie MacDonald a double winner as club celebrates Players' Player & Young Player of the Year Awards.

The entire Hearts family gathered in the Gorgie Suite last night to celebrate the first joint Players' Player and HYDC Young Player of the Year Awards.

Spirits were high following the first team's amazing 5-0 win over Kilmarnock earlier in the day, and players, staff and fans came together to celebrate the high spots of a challenging season.

The first award of the night, the U17s Player of the Year, sponsored by HYDC, was won jointly by Sean McKirdy and Leon Jones. The midfielder and defender were integral parts of the successful Scotland schoolboys team that won the Victory Shield for the first time in 15 years.

Ryan Stevenson, the hat-trick hero from earlier in the day, was the recipient of the evening's second award: Goal of the Year. Stevo's stunning long-range strike against Hibs in the Scottish League Cup was voted top goal by fans on heartsfc.co.uk.

Next up was the U20s Player of the Year Award, which was won by Liam Smith. Captain of the Wee Jambos, full-back Liam was voted top dog by his U20s team-mates.

The George Nicolson Award, which recognises outstanding achievement at the Hearts Football Academy, was given to Jordan McGhee following his meteoric rise to fame in the first-team.

Hearts No. 1 Jamie MacDonald was voted the Fans' Player of the Year, while Sam Nicholson was given the gong for the Overall Young Player of the Year.

The night was capped off by Jamma receiving the Players' Player of the Year Award for the second consecutive season, and he was presented his trophy by manager Gary Locke.
