Robbie Neilson has strengthened his goalkeeping ranks with the addition of Ross Stewart on loan from Livingston.
The 25-year-old moves to Tynecastle until January 2021.
Capped at Scotland U19 level, Ross started his career with Motherwell and made his senior debut in 2013.
He spent two seasons at Albion Rovers from 2015 before making the move to St Mirren in 2017.
A year later he switched to Livingston where he made 11 first team appearances, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Queen of the South.
Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, manager Robbie said: “I’m happy we’ve managed to get someone with Ross’ experience in so quickly.
“With Colin Doyle going out to Kilmarnock and Harry Stone about to undergo minor surgery, it was imperative that we bring in another goalkeeper to work with Craig Gordon and Bobby Zlamal because before you know it, we’ll be back playing competitive games.
“Ross has played both top fight and Championship football so he has experience at good levels and I’m sure he’ll be a great addition to the squad.”
