Hearts have today completed the signing of English midfielder Sean Clare on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance.
The 21-year-old joins the Jambos following the expiry of his contract with English Championship club Sheffield Wednesday during the summer.
Despite interest from English Premier League and Championship sides the club has secured the signature of the highly rated attacking midfielder, who will wear the number 9 jersey for the boys in maroon.
The Londoner spent the first half of last season on loan at English League one side Gillingham where he made 26 competitive appearances.
He returned to parent club Sheffield Wednesday for the latter half of the season and made his senior debut in the Sheffield Derby and scored his first goal for the Owls in a 4-2 defeat to Championship play-off finalists Aston Villa.
Sean has penned a deal until 2021 and was present at Fir Park yesterday to watch his new teammates continue their unbeaten run with a 1-0 win over Motherwell.
