Robbie Neilson believes he’ll reap the rewards of Jim Jefferies’ expert Hearts knowledge after the legendary former manager today returned to the club.
JJ, player and twice manager of the Jambos, has agreed to take on an advisory role to the Board of Directors on footballing matters.
Imparting his vast knowledge of the game on the Board, he’ll work closely with Ann Budge during the transfer window, implementing the changes that Robbie feels are needed and allowing the manager to focus his energies on preparing the squad for season 2020/21.
Having known Jim for a long time, Robbie feels it’s a win-win situation for everyone at Hearts and has praised his return to Tynecastle.
Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Robbie said: “I’m delighted to welcome Jim back to Hearts.
“He brings a wealth of experience and knows the club inside out having been hugely successful both as a player and manager at the club.
“Having worked with Jim in his first spell as manager and known him for over 20 years, his experience and expertise will be of great benefit to both the club and myself.”
