With several loan players recalled to play in the Challenge Cup for the Colts, only three played for their loan clubs this weekend.
Lewis Moore - Falkirk
The 21-year-old got his first start since the Second Round of the Challenge Cup as Falkirk lost 2-0 to their League One rivals in Challenge Cup action.
Moore, who has only played once in the league so far for Ray McKinnon's side, played for 56 minutes before being replaced by Aidan Connolly.
Rory Currie - Forfar Athletic
The Loons were not in Challenge Cup action which was good news for Rory, as he would have been cup-tied. Instead, the 21-year-old striker started in their League One clash against his old side, East Fife.
It was the Fifers who won the match, cementing their place at the top with a 2-1 win.
Olly Lee - Gillingham
The Gills were in league action south of the border, taking on Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.
Olly started his third consecutive game for his new side, managing 81 minutes in the 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, Alex Petkov started for Bulgaria's under-21s in their 4-0 win over Estonia, and Dan Baur, Harry Cochrane, Anthony McDonald, Chris Hamilton, Connor Smith, and Leeroy Makovora were all in the Hearts Colts' squad that travelled to Ireland to play Waterford.
