Players, staff and supporters of Heart of Midlothian gathered to celebrate at the club’s Player of the Year Awards dinner at the EICC on Sunday night.
The glitzy occasion was enjoyed by around 800 people, with a host of big winners on the night.
Host and the voice of Hearts, Scott Wilson, picked up the evening’s first gong, the Doc Melvin Memorial Award, for services to the club.
A Celebration of Youth saw Daniel Baur and Dario Zanatta pick up the U17s and U20s Player of the Year Awards respectively, while Sam Nicholson was crowned the Overall Young Player of the Year, voted for by his team-mates.
Liam Fox was voted Coach of the Year by his peers at the Football Academy in what was a brand new award.
Club stalwart Clare Cowan received the George Nicolson Recognition Award, which recognises an outstanding contribution by an individual at the Hearts Football Academy.
Arnaud Djoum was a double winner, landing the Fans’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season for his stunning strike in the Scottish Cup against Hibs.
Memorable Moment, voted for by the fans, was the last minute equaliser against Celtic. Sam collected on behalf to the team before the room was treated to a video message all the way from China, courtesy of Osman Sow and Ryan McGowan.
Neil Alexander was given a Special Recognition Award from sponsors Mercedes-Benz of Edinburgh, thanks to his magnificent clean-sheet record in this year’s Premiership campaign.
Rounding off the evening was Player’s Player of the Year, which saw Igor Rossi walk away with the much-lauded award.
