Heart of Midlothian is one of Scotland's oldest and most iconic football clubs. The Communications Team is looking to enhance our B Team and Women’s Team matchday coverage and are looking for dedicated volunteers to support this. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some media experience, a passion for football, and an existing knowledge of Hearts and Scottish football. This is a voluntary position, however, the Club will provide travel expenses and equipment required to carry out matchday coverage.
Volunteer Responsibilities:

Matchday coverage of either B Team of Women’s Team with a focus on social media output, which includes posting team announcement graphics, short-form videos of match build-up, live game updates on X including goals, half-time and full-time graphics, on-camera head coach interviews and drafting match report articles for the Club website.

Media liaison duties with external press may be required on an ad hoc basis, such as handling post-match interview requests. Although, these are generally arranged in advance with our Communications Team.
Volunteer Criteria:

Previous experience in a media related role.

Currently studying or recently graduated from a media related degree discipline.

Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva).

A passion for football and an understanding of the Scottish game.

Able to evidence Legal Right to Work in the UK.

Available to work weekends and evenings as required, B Team matches normally played Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons, with Women’s Team matches normally played Sunday afternoons.
