Gary Locke on HeartsTV

15th February 2018

Club ambassador Gary Locke speaks to HeartsTV about success on and off the pitch.

Gary Locke reckons Hearts are hitting the right notes on and off the park this season.

The Jambos’ run of form since returning to the newly-redeveloped Tynecastle has seen them in the hunt for Europe and reach the last eight of the Scottish Cup.

Sold out hospitality suites have helped boost the feelgood factor at the club, and the former captain and manager hopes it continues throughout the rest of the season.

Speaking to HeartsTV, he said: “It’s been fantastic and the management and players deserve enormous credit for the way they’ve turned the fortunes of the club around. Our record back at Tynecastle has been fantastic. We’re still unbeaten since we came back here, which is great to see.

“We’ve done well with the Gorgie Suite this season, it’s been really busy, and we’ve got Gorgie Live for the two away games – Ross County and Hibs – coming up.

“It would be great if the Hearts fans could come along. They’ve been absolutlely unbelievable in terms of the backing they’ve given the club for the last five or six years.

“It would be really good to get the Gorgie Suite full for both of these occasions because it creates a better atmosphere, and hopefully when the team scores it would be good for everyone to cheer together.”
