Lifelong Hearts supporter Willie Henderson has joined scores of other Jambos by bagging a Tynecastle double; a season ticket renewal and an increased pledge to the Foundation of Hearts.
Willie, from Pitlochry, made the trip to Gorgie to renew his season ticket for yet another campaign and also decided to up his monthly contribution to the Foundation of Hearts.
Greeted at Tynecastle by club owner Ann Budge, Willie said: “I’ve been a season ticket holder since around 1980, but I’ve been coming to Tynecastle since long before then.
“My season ticket seat is in the Wheatfield Stand and has been since it opened.
“The past couple of seasons I’ve had trouble with my hip so I ended up giving my season ticket to somebody else to use, but I’ve made as many games as I could towards the end of this season.
“It was special to see us lift a trophy this season and I’m really looking forward to next season back in the Premiership.
“I’ve increased my pledge with the Foundation of Hearts because I think it’s important that we keep it going and get as much money into the club as possible. The more people who pledge means that we can hopefully move on to bigger and better things.”
