Hearts U20s lose at Celtic but round off impressive Development League campaign with third-place finish
Hearts U20s brought the curtain down on their Development League season with a 4-1 loss away at Celtic.
Despite the defeat, Andy Kirk’s side capped off an impressive campaign with a third-place finish in the Development League table, one point off second-placed Dundee.
Goals from Ewan Henderson and Jack Aitchison had the hosts 2-0 before Jack Hamilton saved an Aitchison penalty.
The Wee Jambos scored through a penalty of their own when Callumn Morrison slotted from the spot to half the deficit, but Aitchison completed his brace before Mikey Johnston grabbed a fourth with three minutes remaining.
