Uche Ikpeazu has won a first call up to the Ugandan national team.
The Jambos striker has been named in The Cranes’ squad for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against South Sudan.
Born and raised in England, 25-year-old Uche qualifies for Uganda through his mother’s side of the family.
Uganda host South Sudan on Saturday, 28th March at the Mandela National Stadium before travelling to the Omdurman-El Hilal Stadium in Kahrtoum for the return fixture three days later.
The Cranes currently sit top of Group B in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with four points from two games. Completing the group is Burkina Faso and Malawi.
The first and second placed teams from all 12 groups will advance to the tournament finals, to be played in Cameroon in 2021.
