Hearts will have goalkeeping representation across three levels of Scotland squads next week.
Craig Gordon, outstanding in yesterday’s 2-0 cinch Premiership win over Dundee United, will be handed the No.1 jersey by national team manager Steve Clarke for Scotland’s World Cup qualifiers against Denmark, Moldova and Austria.
Harry Stone, on loan at Partick Thistle, has been called up to the Scotland U21 squad. 19-year-old Harry, who has made four appearances for the Firhill side, will be part of Scott Gemmill’s group as they face Turkey in Bursa on Tuesday, September 7th in an European Championship qualifying match.
Completing the hat-trick of international recognition is U18s goalkeeper Liam McFarlane, who has been called up to a Scotland U19s training camp. Liam, who signed his first professional contract with the Jambos during the summer, will spend three days away with head coach Billy Stark’s squad, which also includes Hearts full back Leo Watson.
