Dale Carrick has been dealt a blow in his bid to return to the Hearts starting line-up with the news that he’s set to sit out the next six weeks of the season.
The striker suffered a hamstring injury whilst playing for Raith Rovers on loan in their Scottish Cup win over Rangers on Saturday.
‘Speedy’ was subbed off during the second-half and now faces over a month out after aggravating his hamstring.
Speaking exclusively to Hearts News, head coach Robbie Neilson said: “I’m disappointed for Dale and I’m disappointed for Raith too.
“Dale’s worked so hard to get back to full fitness so it’s a shame that he’ll now be out for six weeks.
“He’s popped his hamstring, so he’ll return here for treatment and we’ll just try to build him up again.”
