Robbie Neilson has revealed that he’s looking forward to seeing his new signings in action at Tynecastle for the first time just as much as the fans.
The Jambos take on English Premier League giants Everton on Sunday in their first home match since lifting the Championship trophy back in May.
The head coach is anticipating a tough test, such is the calibre of opponent, but he’s eager to see how his players handle the occasion.
Speaking to Hearts News, Robbie said: “I’m really looking forward to Sunday. Everybody is.
“Last season we had Manchester City come up and we had a big crowd and a good game, so I’m hoping it’s more of the same this Sunday.
“Everton will be a really difficult match. Their squad is full of - not just international class - but world-class players.
“But we gave Man City a good workout last year and I’m confident we can do the same again this weekend against Everton.
“It will be the first opportunity for the majority of our supporters to see some of the new signings, like Blazej Augustyn, Gavin Reilly and possibly Juanma.
“And of course, the fans will get to see Igor Rossi Branco in the flesh for the first time.
“Alim Ozturk, Morgaro Gomis and Prince Buaben should all be involved too so it’s got the makings of an interesting game.
“Hopefully we get a big crowd, put on a good show and build towards Thursday’s Scottish League Cup match against Arbroath.”
Fans can still buy tickets for Sunday's match via the club's three sales channels: online at Hearts eTickets, over the phone by calling 0333 043 1874, option 1 then 1, or by dropping into the Hearts Ticket Centre on McLeod Street, which will be open up until kick-off on the day of the game along with the Clubstore.
