Andy Kirk has further strengthened his squad with the addition of Rachel Walkingshaw.
The attacking midfielder rejoins the Jambos after being part of last season’s SWPL 2-winning squad.
Rachel enjoyed a successful campaign last time round, becoming the first hearts player to win the SWPL player of the month, and her strike against Hamilton Accies was nominated for goal of the season in the Scottish Women’s Football Annual Awards.
Speaking to the Official Hearts Website, Rachel said: “I’m really excited to come back. It’s a fresh start with a new team in. I’m really looking forward to a new challenge and getting started.
“I really enjoyed last season. To win the league after two or three times of trying was really good, and ending it by playing at Tynecastle was great.
"It was a great place to play last season so I’m happy to be back. I hope we can pick up from where we left off last year and really push on.
“The manager has told me he’s really excited to have me in and I’ve got a lot of qualities that he’s looking for. I’m looking forward to working with him. It’s exciting times.
“We’ve got the potential to compete in the top flight. We just need to get our feet under the table and see how well we can do without focusing on anyone else.”
