Love was in the air...

Jambos make the most of Valentine's Day, as top restaurant Angels with Bagpipes offer their generosity.

Love was in the air at Tynecastle on Valentine’s Day, with a few lucky Hearts fans winning meals for two at Angels with Bagpipes.

The Royal Mile restaurant, match sponsors for the Jambos’ 1-0 win over Livingston, ran a Twitter competition on the day of the game for the chance to win a romantic fine-dining experience, absolutely free.

Supporters had to complete the following romantic poem: ‘Roses are red, violets are blue…’

Jambos Tweeted their efforts en masse , and after careful consideration, Dougie Shirlaw’s entry – ‘Roses are red, violets are blue, @angels_food are No.1, and @JamTarts are too!’- was chosen as the winner.

The generosity didn’t stop there, with supporter George Dick proposing to partner Estelle Rousell on the pitch at half-time.

Of course, Estelle didn’t let George down and Angels with Bagpipes have offered the newly-betrothed couple dinner on the house at the restaurant!

Thanks go to everyone who entered the Twitter competition, George and Estelle for making Tynecastle the premier romantic spot in Edinburgh on Valentine’s Day and our friends at Angels with Bagpipes.
