It was a largely successful round of fixtures for Hearts’ loanees throughout the Scottish leagues at the weekend.
Niko Todorov opened the scoring for Livingston at Inverness, despite playing in defence. The Bulgarian’s strike set the Lions on their way to an impressive 3-1 win in the Highlands.
Dario Zanatta’s Raith Rovers put five past Queen’s Park without reply at Hampden. The winger scored Raith’s third of the afternoon as the Kirkcaldy side maintained their fantastic start to the season, sitting top of League One and six points clear of Ayr United in second.
In League Two, Andy Irving and Marcus Godinho helped Berwick Rangers to come from two-goals down to beat Elgin City 3-2 at home. Both played the entire 90 minutes.
Callumn Morrison was the star of the show for Stirling Albion as his double inspired the Binos to a 3-1 victory at Montrose. The livewire winger struck in the 13th and 90th minutes to take his tally to seven for the season.
Elsewhere in League Two, Harry Paton lasted the full 90 minutes for Stenhousemuir as they bagged a point with a 1-1 draw at Annan Athletic.
It was an afternoon to forget for Liam Smith’s St Mirren, however, as they were soundly beaten 3-0 away to Dunfermline Athletic. The full-back played the full game, and that result take the Pars one point ahead of the Buddies and into top spot in the Championship.
