Kenny Anderson insists he will be ready to hit the ground running this season and show the Hearts support what he’s capable of.
The Dutchman was a January transfer window arrivée last season and made an instant impact with a goal in the 3-2 win over Livingston on February 7th.
Chances thereafter were few and far between however, as an already settled Jambos side continued their relentless march towards the Championship title.
Midfielder Kenny believes that a good pre-season can provide him with a platform to showcase his talents to the coaching squad and help the club take the step up into the Ladbrokes Premiership.
Speaking to the media at the team hotel in Dublin, he said: “I want to show up well in pre-season and make sure that I work hard to get myself in the team and ready to play the full season.
“It was more difficult for me because I came in halfway through the season and the team was winning.
“I wanted to show myself in training but I did not get the chance to do or a lot of game time.
“I want to show myself to the fans and I think I have the quality to get more game time.
“The level of the teams we are going to play against is going to be much higher this season.
“We will be ready for the first game when it comes.”
