Edwards joins Hearts

Australian midfielder Ryan Edwards pens a two-year deal with the Jambos.

Ryan Edwards has today agreed to join Hearts on a two-year deal. 

The 24-year-old midfielder moves to Tynecastle as a free agent after leaving Partick Thistle at the end of the 2017/18 season. 

He began his career at the Australian Institute of Sport before joining Reading in 2012. A loan move to Perth Glory followed before he made the switch to Partick Thistle where he quickly established himself as a first team regular. 

The Australian spent three seasons at Firhill, scoring 8 goals in 108 senior appearances for the Jags. Ryan also has also made numerous appearances for Australia at both U20 and U23 level. 

Ryan will soon join up with his new teammates for pre-season training ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
