Arnaud Djoum's Cameroon drew with Burkina Faso in Africa Cup of Nations opener.

Arnaud Djoum’s Cameroon drew their opening Africa Cup of Nations match against Burkina Faso.

The Jambos midfielder was an unused substitute as the Indomitable Lions took a 35th minute lead through Benjamin Moukandjo, only to be pegged back by Issoufou Dayo’s equaliser with 15 minutes to go.

The other Group A match between hosts Gabon and Guinea-Bissau also finished 1-1, leaving all four teams with one point after one round of fixtures.

Cameroon are back in action on Wednesday when they take on Guinea-Bissau, while Faycal Rherras’ Morocco open their campaign against DR Congo this evening.
