Haymarket Remembrance Service

11 December 2022

Conducted by Club Chaplain Andy Prime, the service will be attended by the men and women's First Teams, B Team, coaching staff and members of the Board.

The service will commence at 10.45am sharp and conclude at 11.20am, at which point members of the public will be invited to lay wreaths next to the War Memorial.

Orders of Service will be distributed on the day in addition to being available online. The service will also be filmed and available to watch live on the club’s official Facebook page.

All attendees are politely requested by Heart of Midlothian Football Club and Police Scotland to gather in Morrison Street, where loudspeakers will broadcast the service. A British Sign Language Interpreter will be in attendance to provide communication support.

We specifically request that people do not congregate at the corner of Grosvenor Street or on the crossing at Dalry Road as the experience of the service is less than ideal from these vantage points.

We advise guests with disabilities, to arrive early and gather in the accessible viewing area cordoned off at the corner of Dalry Road and Haymarket Terrace. The road closure of Morrison St will be in effect from circa 9.30am until 12.00pm.

We can also confirm that planning permissions have now been approved for improvements to be made to the island housing the Heart of Midlothian War Memorial, and work is due to commence in 2023. More news to follow.
