Natty closes in on World Cup

06 August 2022

Natty played the full 90 minutes for the Socceroos in last night's 2-1 win over the United Arab Emirates in the semi-final of Asian qualifying at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Al-Rayyan.

Jackson Irvine and Ajdin Hrustic scored the decisive Aussie goals, setting up a winner-takes-all showdown with Peru at the same stadium on Monday.

Meanwhile, Craig Gordon could pick up his 68th Scotland cap tonight as Steve Clarke's side gear up for a Nations League clash with Armenia at Hampden.

Scotland are in group B1, as the country looks to kick off Euro 2024 qualifying and bounce back from defeat to Ukraine which ended World Cup ambitions.

The Tartan Army then cross the Irish Sea to Dublin on Saturday to face the Republic of Ireland, before rounding off the summer internationals with an away trip to Armenia the following Tuesday.

Best of luck to both Nate and Craig.
