Loan Review: Defeats for Forfar and Kelty

10 November 2022

Jaden Ferguson - Forfar Athletic

The 19-year-old striker completed a loan switch to League Two outfit Forfar Athletic towards the end of September after starting the campaign with Steven Naismith's B Team in the Lowland League.

Jaden started up front this weekend in Gary Irvine's starting XI, but couldn't prevent the Loons from going down 3-1 at home to East Fife - with former Hearts academy player Ryan Schiavone notching twice for the Fifers. Jaden was subbed on the 55th minute.

Forfar currently sit bottom of League Two with eight points from ten matches: they travel to Borough Briggs to face fifth placed Elgin City on Saturday (15 October)

Scott McGill & Cammy Logan - Kelty Hearts

Scott McGill started, with Cammy Logan on the bench, as Kelty Hearts went down 2-0 to FC Edinburgh in a League One defeat at Meadowbank. Goals from Danny Handling and Callum Crane were enough to claim the points for Edinburgh who have former Hearts defender Alan Maybury in the dug out.

Scott was replaced by Joe Cardle as a 64th minute substitute, whilst Cammy was an unused sub. Kelty currently sit ninth out of the ten teams in League One - with seven points taken from nine games.

Kelty have a chance to bounce back quickly when they welcome seventh placed Queen of the South to New Central Park tonight. A win over the Doonhamers would take them to within three points of sixth placed Alloa Athletic.
