Hearts U20s lost out 6-3 to Dundee United U20s last night in an incredible match at Newtongrange.

The Wee Jambos came back from two-goals down to take the lead, before succumbing to a four-goal salvo in ten manic minutes.

The Terrors took the lead through Blair Spittal in the 13th minute, before Aiden Connolly’s penalty doubled their lead.

Jack Ross’ lads pulled one back just before half-time when Angus Beith converted a penalty of his own and Nathan Flanagan restored parity six minutes into the second-half.

The young maroons got their noses in front for the first time in the game five minutes later when Liam Henderson stabbed home from close range.

Spittal grabbed his second of the match in the 77th minute to make it 3-3, then just a minute later, Ola Adeyemo put United back in front.

John Souttar knocked one in from inside the box to give the visitors a two-goal cushion after 80 minutes and Adeyemo rounded off the evening’s proceedings with an 87th minute strike, with the Tannadice outfit heading back up the road with a 6-3 victory.

The U20s are back in action next Tuesday, away to Celtic in the Development League.
