Wee Jambos defeat Motherwell

5th April 2018

Lewis Moore bags the winner as Hearts U20s run out 2-1 winners over Motherwell U20s at Oriam.

Hearts U20s ran out 2-1 winners against Motherwell U20s in the Development League yesterday.

Originally scheduled to take place at Forthbank, the fixture was switched to Oriam due to weather conditions, with a delayed kick off.

The Wee Jambos opened the scoring after 30 minutes, when Euan Henderson dispatched from the penalty spot.

Motherwell got back on level terms before the first-half was out, with Jake Hastie slotting beyond Kelby Mason.

Hearts regained the lead just after an hour, when a free-kick was parried into the path of substitute Lewis Moore, who guided the ball home.

The win keeps Andy Kirk’s side in fourth place in the Development League table.
