Alim Ozturk scored twice as Hearts U20s defeated Aberdeen 3-1 in Wednesday's Development League fixture at Riccarton.
A Dario Zanatta strike cancelled out the visitors' opening goal, before Ozturk blasted home a 20 yard free kick to make it 2-1. He then grabbed his second shortly after the restart to seal the win for the Wee Jambos.
The Skipper was one of three first-team players in Liam Fox's starting line-up, with Danny Swanson and Billy King also featuring.
It was the visitors who enjoyed the brighter start, however, with Scott McKenna heading inches over inside the first minute. Their pressure eventually paid off when a Robbie Buchanan handball earned them a penalty on 26 minutes, which Craig Storie duly converted.
The Jambos drew level within minutes however, as Zanatta pulled free on the left side of the box and dragged a low shot into the far corner.
They then took the lead shortly before half-time as Ozturk stepped up to fire a free-kick in off the bar. The first team skipper then got his second of the afternoon on 51 minutes when his low free kick crept under the arms of the Dons keeper.
The Wee Jambos looked comfortable from there on in, with the likes of Zanatta and King going close on several occasions. There were substitute appearances for Sean McKirdy and Ian Smith, whilst Ozturk, King and Swanson all played the full 90 minutes.
