Blazej Augustyn insists Hearts will learn their lessons from last week’s draw against Dundee as they look to return to winning ways at Firk Park on Saturday.
The Jambos were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Dundee last Saturday, a game in which the Polish defender believes his side should have picked up all three points. Speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s game against Motherwell, he said:
“We know that the draw last week was a disappointment to us and the fans. We controlled the game in the first half, but the second half was poor. We should have played the ball quicker and been more positive.
“We must learn from the last game and we must now fight for three points at Motherwell.
“We have to work hard, everyone in the team knows that hard work is key. Robbie works us hard and keeps telling us that the December and January period is very important.
“I think we are good enough to compete at the top, we play good football but of course every game is different. As I said, hard work is the only way to keep improving.”
