We must be ruthless

Hearts must rediscover their ruthlessness in front of goal if they are to return to winning ways against Dundee United, according to Jamie Walker.

The Jambos’ last league win came against Partick Thistle back in August and the attacking midfielder admits he and his teammates are desperate to embark on another winning run. Speaking to the media on Friday morning, Jamie said:

“We dropped off a little after winning our first five matches, but we take heart from the amount of chances we’ve created. We really need to start taking our chances, however.

“We picked up a point at Celtic but we felt we should have taken three against Killie, so everyone’s looking forward to Sunday and hopefully we can get the win.”

Hearts will be backed by another large travelling support on Sunday and Jamie is eager to reward them for their loyalty.

“It’s a massive help to have so many fans behind you. Last season some of the away games felt like home games for us.

“Hopefully we can put on a good show for them on Sunday because we feel the last few results haven’t been good enough.”
