Jamie Walker reckons Dundee will be coming to Tynecastle to kickstart their season, but thinks the Jambos have hit the goal trail at the right time.
Two goalless performances prior to the international break were put to bed by Hearts’ tremendous 3-1 victory at Fir Park two weeks ago, and the flying winger always felt that he and his teammates would hit the back of the net sooner rather than later.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Jamie said: “Dundee have not had the best of results recently so they’ll be coming to Tynecastle and thinking if they get a victory it could kickstart their season, so we need to be wary of that.
“We’re looking forward to it. I think it’ll be a tough game, as is every game at Tynecastle. They’ll probably come and not push out a lot so we’ll have a lot of the ball.
“As you saw in the last few weeks we haven’t taken our chances, except at Fir Park, so if the chances come we need to take them and hopefully we do.
“I think the frustration in front of goal has passed us. There’s always going to be a period in the season where you might not take all of your chances but if you keep creating them and keep creating them then eventually you’ll put them away.”
