Jamie Walker wants to win tonight’s game against Birkirkara to give the fans another European adventure in Russia.
The Jambos head into tonight’s Europa League encounter against the Maltese side in a great positition, having drawn 0-0 in the first leg last week.
Talented winger Jamie knows it will be difiuclt to break Birkirkara down at Tynecastle this evening, but is confident the boys can do it to set up a third qualifying round tie against FC Krasnodar.
Speaking to HeartsTV, he said: “The boys are going into the game confident. If you saw the game over there then you know that we played reasonably well. With a bit more composure in the final third then we could’ve nicked a goal but we’re really looking forward to it.
“I’m expecting them to do the same at Tynecastle. They’re gameplan will be the same and they’ll try and nick an away goal which we need to be wary of. But hopefully we can get an early goal and if everyone gets behind us then we can really kick on.
“We’ll need to move the ball around, be patient and get it wide to get crosses into the box. Hopefully we can get a few goals.
“The crowd can be the twelfth man. Hopefully they can stick by us, get right behind us and hopefully we can repay them with a good performance and a trip to Russia.”
