Jamie Walker is hoping to reach the prestigious 50 Club - players who have scored 50 goals for Hearts - by the end of this campaign.
The attacking-midfielder hit 40 goals in his previous six years at Tynecastle and needs another 10 to reach the half-ton figure. He would join another 36 players in the history books, the most recent of whom was Colin Cameron.
"I want to come back and hit the ground running," Jamie said. "I want to add to the goals that I scored here last time. Hopefully I can get to 50 goals for Hearts this season, that's my aim.
"I just need to try and build it up over the next few weeks and hopefully before the Aberdeen game I can get a few 90 minutes in."
The 27-year-old has not featured in pre-season so far as Craig Levein has not wanted to risk one of summer signings before the season starts.
"I'm feeling fit," Jamie told the media. "I hadn't trained or played for a long period of time due to my knee injury and not being involved when I was down in Wigan.
"It's just little niggles that I'm trying to get rid of. I was going to play in the friendly in Ireland but the gaffer didn't want to push me. I'm feeling fit, I'm going to train today and hopefully I can be involved on Friday."
Clearly, the former Wigan man is itching to get back on the Tynecastle turf.
"It's a special place for me and my family. I'm obviously delighted to be back here. It's a club that I know very well, obviously I've been here for a long time before.
"As soon as Craig gave me the phone call to come back, there was no hesitation."
