31st October 2015

Lewis Moore the hero as Wee Jambos beat East Stirling 5-4.

Hearts U20s edged out East Stirling in a thrilling 5-4 encounter in last night’s Little Big Shot Scottish Youth Cup tie.

The Wee Jambos are through to the fourth round but were pushed all the way at Ochilview.

The home side took the lead in the first-half through a penalty but were soon pegged back by a Robbie Buchanan goal.

Russell McLean fired Hearts into the lead before Buchanan added his second right on half time.

East Stirling pulled a goal back early in the second half, but Ian Smith restored Hearts’ two-goal cushion.

Again the home side got back into the game and the comeback looked on when they made it 4-4. However, Lewis Moore bagged a late winner to secure Hearts’ place in the fourth round.
