U20s held by Pars

7th February 2017

The Wee Jambos played out a 1-1 draw with Dunfermline last night.

The youngsters played out a 1-1 draw with the Pars at Ochilview on Monday night.

Jon Daly’s side featured first-team players Viktor Noring, Liam Smith, Angus Beith and new signing Dylan Bikey.

The visitors had a bit of experience in their ranks as well, with on-loan Hearts striker Gavin Reilly lining up for the Fife side.

Hearts opened the scoring on 16 minutes when Alex Pektov fired home the rebound from a Andy Irving free-kick.

The Jambos almost added a second on 58 minutes but Irving’s free-kick was denied by the crossbar.

The Pars drew level shortly after as Callum Fordyce headed home a Joe Cradle corner-kick. The game ended in a draw, however, Rory Currie very nearly grabbed a winner but saw his shot shave the wrong side of the post.
