Hearts U20s played out an entertaining 3-3 draw away to Dundee on Wednesday.

Hearts U20s played out a thrilling 3-3 draw away to Dundee in their final match of the season.

The Wee Jambos journeyed north to Montrose for Wednesday's final Development League fixture against Dundee, but were handed a blow en route as goalkeeper Kelby Mason fell ill. Kelby was the only keeper named in the squad, forcing Jon Daly to place his faith in striker Russell McLean between the sticks.

Despite their goalkeeping issue, the Wee Jambos took the lead just five minutes into the game at Links Park when Dario Zanatta fired home. The hosts were level just three minutes later, before Callumn Morrison restored Hearts' lead on 19 minutes.

Dundee got back on level terms seven minutes later as the teams went into the interval at two goals a piece.

Hearts dominated large periods of the second half and deservedly took the lead on 72 minutes thanks to a stunning strike from Jahmal Howlett-Mundle.

Dundee then made it 3-3 from the penalty spot shortly after, forcing Hearts to settle for a point in their final Development League fixture of the season.
