U20s draw with United

22nd December 2016

The Wee Jambos played out a 2-2 draw with Dundee United on Wednesday afternoon.

Hearts U20s played out at an entertaining 2-2 draw away to Dundee United on Wednesday afternoon.

Jon Daly's side found themselves ahead inside five minutes at Forfar's Station Park courtesy of a Dario Zanatta strike.

The hosts drew level on 19 minutes when Cammy Smith volleyed home from inside the box. The Terrors then took the lead nine minutes into the second half, with Smith once again finding himself on the scoresheet.

The young Hearts side continued to push forward however and deservedly equalised on 66 minutes when Leon Jones sent a header beyond the keeper.

Overall it was an encouraging display from the Wee Jambos who could well have snatched a winner.

Hearts: Mason, Hamilton (C), Vladislav, Jones, Reid, Morrison, Paton, Cochrane, Leonard (Ritchie '90), Irving, Zanatta (Gillan '46). Subs not used: Gajda, Sandison.
