Ian Cathro says that his side are working hard as they continue to prepare for next week’s Hamilton Accies game.
With no game this weekend, the head coach put his players through their paces with a double training session at Riccarton this afternoon.
Eager to bounce back from the midweek defeat to Ross County, the first-team spent today on the training pitch, and Ian believes the extra time the players have spent together will be beneficial heading into next week’s Accies match.
Speaking to heartsfc.co.uk, he said: “Of course we did not want to have a free weekend but we do and we must use the opportunity to train, spend time together adjusting some things and working hard to improve - to be ready to fix the situation we find ourselves in.
“We all know the recent results have not been acceptable, our focus must remain on working together on solutions, correcting mistakes and preparing well for the next match.
“I said before that this is a moment for sticking together, supporting each other and that is what we have to do.
“It's been a busy day with two training sessions, the players have worked hard and we will continue through next week working hard and preparing well for a very important match at home.”
