16th November 2018

Michael Smith won his third cap for Northern Ireland last night in their friendly match with the Republic of Ireland.

The two sides cancelled each other out in a 0-0 draw at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The Jambos full-back started the match and played 74 minutes, while his Tynecastle teammate Colin Doyle was an unused substitute for the opposition.

Northern Ireland are back in action on Sunday when they host Austria in the Nations League. Ireland head to Denmark on Monday for their Nations League match.

Harry Cochrane made a late substitute appearance for Scotland U19s in their European Championship qualifying win over Wales on Wednesday. A Billy Gilmour double sealed a 2-1 win for the young Scots, with Cochrane making an appearance in the 83rd minute.

Billy Stark’s side continue their campaign with a match against San Marino on Saturday.

Marcus Godinho will be aiming to add to his one cap for Canada when they face St Kitts and Nevis in the CONCACAF Nations League on Sunday, while Arnaud Djoum’s Cameroon take on Brazil in a friendly match in Milton Keynes on Monday.
