Thanking the Fans Day

13th May 2016

Sunday's game against St Johnstone has been designated as Thanking the Fans Day.

On behalf of the Club and the Foundation of Hearts, we would like to say a huge thank you to all Hearts fans everywhere for their incredible support throughout the season.

To acknowledge this support, we have designated Sunday 15 May as the club and FOH’s Thanking the Fans Day.

For the final time this season, the team will be wearing the now-famous tribute strip. Scott Wilson – everyone’s favourite match announcer – will broadcast a message of thanks before kick off and the club will be putting a message of thanks on the LED boards throughout the match. This is a celebration of and for Hearts fans, and it is a privilege for FOH and the club to pay this tribute to you all.

This has been a momentous season – one that has been made possible by the tremendous support by you, the fans. Without you, today – and all the other days in the season – this simply would not have happened.

Head Coach Robbie Neilson said:

"We’re wearing the Foundation of Hearts strip but it’s a thank you to all the fans for the hard work they’ve put in and the funds they give us every month.

"It’s a phenomenal thing that’s happened here, the backing we get from the fans. To put their hand in their pocket every month and to also come to the games and pay for their season tickets, it has generated a feel-good factor here. Hopefully we can sign off with a victory on Thanking the Fans Day.

"Everything is moving forward at a rate of knots. It’s an exciting time to be here and we’re going in the right direction. We want to thank the fans for their backing."

So… we want to say a massive thank you to you all. Hearts fans have proven once again that they are truly the best and as such command our unreserved admiration and utmost respect. Thank You.

Please enjoy this, the last day of the season. Hopefully we will see many of you again in the summer as we begin our European adventure. Have a great summer, and we look forward to your continued support next season as our journey continues.
