Robbie Neilson believes his side has strengthened since beating Rangers at Ibrox on the opening day of the season.
The Jambos left Glasgow with a 2-1 win and all three points back on August 10, and have since defeated the Gers at Tynecastle.
Despite keeping his feet firmly on the ground, the head coach revealed that the men in maroon will head to Ibrox tomorrow night brimming with confidence.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference this morning, Robbie said: “We’re looking forward to it. It’s a great game to be involved in.
“It’s a big game, a Friday night game which is always got a bit of spice to it, under the floodlights. It’s a great one for us.
“I think we’re a stronger team from the opening day of the season. We’re a better team as we’ve added a few more players.
“We’ve got good team spirit and obviously we’ve got the momentum of the league form as well, which is good.
“We’re going there in a positive frame of mind, hoping to win the game.”
Robbie is anticipating a cracking match between the Championship’s first and second placed clubs, but insists he’s not paying attention to anything else other than the task at hand.
“Rangers want to win it and we want to win it so it’ll be a good game,” he said. “It’ll be the two top teams in the league going at each other, both desperate to win.
“They’ve got top quality players there, international players, so it’ll be a very difficult game for us.
“It’s up to us to focus on ourselves. We know what we’re going to do, we’ll see how it pans out on the night.
“We’re in an incredibly strong position already. Whether we win or lose, we’ll still be in a strong position. We need to just continue to focus and do what we’ve done all season, which is not getting carried away with ourselves and continue to do the right things day to day.
“What will be will be at the end of the season. We hope we win the title but we can only work hard.”
