Souttar's Scotland call up

28th May 2019

John Souttar has been named in new Scotland boss Steve Clarke’s maiden squad.

The Jambos defender has been included amongst Clarke’s first call-ups as Scotland look to get their European Championship qualifying campaign back on track.

The national side suffered a 3-0 defeat in Kazakhstan in their opening Group I game before edging past San Marino 2-0 away from home, and they currently occupy fifth spot in the table.

Souttar will be hoping to add to his three caps when Scotland host Cyprus at Hampden on June 8th before travelling to Belgium, who finished third in the 2018 World Cup, three days later.
