Daniel Stendel believes an improved team spirit can help Hearts to pull away from the relegation zone.
Unbeaten in four, the Jambos head to Paisley on Wednesday evening to face 11th placed St Mirren, who sit three points ahead of the men in maroon.
Having lost only two games from the last 12, the manager thinks that there is a closeness within the first team squad that can see them through this situation and has urged his players to start turning draw into wins.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Daniel said: “I think a big point is my feeling is that we stay closer together than before, all in the club. This is important.
“You need to understand that this is the reality at the moment and we need to find the right solution for this way and not to live in the past, or what we could have done better, or I’m better. Only when you win the game and climb the table are you really better.
“You don’t have to do it outside away from the pitch, the situation brings the players together more and more.
“The last week can bring us even more together because you can see that when we do it together we have a chance against every team. We have the quality in the end to win the games that we need to win.
“It’s important that we show again another good performance. We need this for our confidence, we need this for the next few weeks. This is good for us.
“You can see that we’ve stabilised a little bit more in the last few games, after the situation with (conceding) the 13 goals in 4 games.
“I think we have a different situation. It’s good and it shows that our work is working but, still, we need to go forward for the next games and Wednesday is a big game.”
