Ian Cathro admitted Aberdeen were able to control the game better as the Dons recorded a 2-0 victory over Hearts today.
The Jambos lost to goals from Shay Logan and Jonny Hayes, and the Head Coach stated that the home side’s years of consistency helped play a part in how they took control of the match.
“Ultimately what you’ve seen is a competitive game, where Aberdeen have shown they’re more consistent and well routined in their play.
“Inside the game, it’s come to small details. We’ve missed chances before it went to 1-0, good chances, and then defensively, if we’re guilty of something it’s a lack of being clinical and ruthless in that area.
"It's a situation where Aberdeen have shown they're in a position where they're stronger, more routined, and managed to take the victory.
“They’ve been more dominant in controlling where the game is being played.”
Going into the international break, Ian admitted the side had work to do to improve on the individual errors that cost them today, as he looked ahead with optimism.
“There’s now lots of work over the break for us to do, when we’re through with our analysis we’ll see where we need to improve and do that.”
