Clutch of the club's brightest young talents will be staying at Tynecastle for another season.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club has moved to secure the immediate future of six of its brightest young stars.

Jason Holt, Jamie Walker, Dale Carrick, Jack Hamilton, Brad McKay and David Smith will remain with the club until the summer of 2015.

All six players are Hearts Football Academy graduates and are highly regarded throughout Scottish football.

Negotiations have also been opened with two other rising stars, Sam Nicholson and Gary Oliver.

Meanwhile, the club can confirm that five players will be leaving Tynecastle upon expiration of their contracts.

Jamie MacDonald, Jamie Hamill, Mark Ridgers, Callum Tapping and Dylan McGowan will all exit this summer when their deals come to an end. The club would like to thank these players for their efforts and wish them well in the future.
