Saturday's programme | Issue 02

21st July 2017

Saturday's 48 page programme on sale now in the Hearts Clubstore for £3.

The official Hearts Matchday programme for Saturday’s Betfred Cup game against East Fife is now on sale in the Hearts Clubstore.

The recent friendly against Newcastle United marked the launch of the first issue of the 2017/18 season, complete with the new look movie themed cover. The club experienced an incredible demand for the first programme with all copies selling out before kick-off.

Saturday’s programme promises to be another popular edition, with the front cover featuring an adaptation of the ‘West Side Story’ movie poster. A pull-out A2-sized poster of the cover is also included inside every programme.

On sale for a lower than normal price of £3, to reflect a smaller 48 page programme for the two Betfred Cup group stage home games, the programme is packed with a range of excellent features and columns. In the main interview, Hearts’ new Head of Fitness, Tom Taylor, talks us through the team’s pre-season preparations.

Elsewhere, Club Historian David Speed looks into players who have turned out for both Hearts and East Fife, whilst Gary Cowen takes a look back at a classic programme from a previous meeting between the two clubs.

‘Class of ‘98’ continues to tell the match-by-match story of the memorable 1998 Scottish Cup winning season, whilst Gary Naysmith is the subject of ‘He Wore Maroon.’ In ‘Terrace Talk’, the clock is turned back to the Jambos’ League Cup Final encounter with Rangers in 1996.

There’s also columns from Ian Cathro, Christophe Berra and Ann Budge, plus a round up of recent Hearts U20 games, Junior Jambos and a tribute to the late David Laing.

All this and much more for just £3 from the Hearts Clubstore or from outside Tynecastle prior to kick-off on Saturday.
